Create Anki Flashcards with kaeru
kaeru is a free Chrome extension developed by honkaeru that allows users to easily create Anki flashcards from jisho.org search results. With kaeru, language learners can efficiently build their vocabulary and enhance their language skills.
To use kaeru, simply search for a word on jisho.org and then open the extension. Click on the "make card" button to add the word to your flashcard queue. You can continue searching for more words and adding them to your queue if desired. Once you have finished selecting your words, open the extension again and click on the "download" button.
To import the flashcards into your Anki deck, make sure to follow these important steps. First, select "Field separated by: Space" in the import settings. If it says something else, click on it and enter a single space to update. Additionally, check the box that says "Allow HTML in fields".
Please note that kaeru currently supports only basic card templates and does not yet include reverse cards. However, it provides a convenient and straightforward solution for creating Anki flashcards directly from jisho.org search results.
